Why I Started Cochran Wealth Management

Early on, I got a close look at how a lot of the financial industry actually operates. Too often, advisors are pushed to recommend products that are good for their bottom line but not necessarily good for the person sitting across the table. I knew pretty quickly that was not the kind of advisor I wanted to be.

So I started Cochran Wealth Management because I wanted to build a practice where every recommendation I make is driven by one thing: what is actually best for you. No commissions, no outside pressures, just honest advice from someone who is in your corner.

What I Love About This Work

Whether you are just starting out, running a business, or getting ready to retire, I enjoy sitting down with people and working through their financial questions. No two clients are the same, and I think that is what keeps this work so rewarding.

One of the things I enjoy most is taking something that feels complicated and making it simple. Finances can feel overwhelming, and a big part of my job is cutting through the noise, organizing the pieces, and giving you a clear picture of exactly where you stand and where you are headed.

Outside The Office

Powerlifting has been a huge part of my life. I competed as a nationally ranked collegiate powerlifter, and that experience taught me a lot about what it actually takes to reach a big goal. It takes consistency, patience, and showing up even when progress feels slow.

My faith is also central to who I am. I am an active member of Wilmington Church of Christ, and the values I have grown up with there, integrity, service, and genuine care for others, carry directly into how I run this firm.
